As a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), Dr. Peets has been recognized by the Academy’s members as a leader who is committed to excellence in patient care. The FAGD award symbolizes the professional responsibility of general dentists to remain current in their profession. To achieve this award, Dr. Peets completed a comprehensive written exam and a minimum of 500 hours of quality continuing dental education. Only 9% of dentists have achieved Fellowship.

Dr. Norman D. Peets III, DDS, FAGD, is one of a select group of dental implantologists in the world to receive an award of Fellowship during the I
nternational Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) annual meeting.
As a Fellow of the ICOI, Dr. Peets has been recognized by the Congress' membership as one of the world's leading experts in implant care. To qualify for this award, Dr. Peets had to submit a series of required cases to be reviewed by the board of directors of the ICOI.
The International Congress of Oral Implantologists is an organization dedicated to communicating scientific knowledge and improving the clinical practice of dental implantology worldwide. Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth and to secure dentures.
Dr. Peets graduated from the Emory University School of Dentistry. Since 1983, he has been practicing in a private practice in Implant, Cosmetic and General Dentistry in Gainesville.
